This update is going to be short and sweet, because I’m busy, okay! Gosh. But honestly, for the most part, Rivalry Week turned out to be a snoozefest, with blow outs all around and only a single game fell within 15 points of each other. That game was my own Oarling Haaland’s Boat Club was a doozy, as Nick seemingly had the game in check all the way until I fell asleep late in the third quarter of SNF. When I awoke, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Commanders defense continued to put the beatdown on the Eagles and Rachaad White would score a late touchdown that would flip the game, and give me my 6th consecutive win; while Nick would fall to 3-5. Better luck next year, NikeNick.
Now I usually would never do this, and maybe results of the election have me too much on cloud nine, but Drew won this week, snapping his 5 game losing streak. Not only that, but he beat Brady, who now becomes the de facto worst team in the league and falls to 1-7. Don’t get me wrong, at 2-6 and a 42-94 all-play record, Drew’s team is absolutely god awful. But you know what, maybe it’s just for this one week, but good for you, Drew. You beat the worst coach in the league.
Funnily enough, Brady’s 72 points this week had him worried prior to the final tally that he might go for the record of lowest score of all-time, which at 45.37 points by Daddy in 2019, I assured him he was safe, but then along came Qualley. His Des Moines Football Team made history this week, posting a unbelievable 40.24 points, blow the record out of the water. For posterity, here is his roster’s performance this week:
Aaron Rodgers — 3.88
Jordan Mason — 3.00
Ryan Flournoy — 13.61
Sam LaPorta — 7.50
Omarion Hampton — 3.70
Emanuel Wilson — 0.00
Will Reichard — 0.75
Denver Broncos DEF — 7.80
To have 5 players score under 4 points, and just a single player over 8 is truly unheard of, and I shudder to think of the team that could ever surpass such a feat. As you might expect his Week 8 rival won handily, 107-40, and Jack’s On-Call Killers would climb to 6-2. Qualley falls to 4-4.
That’s it for this week, like I said, short and sweet. See you next!
X-IA gets back on track and shores up their lead.
An impressive showing from TC and Joe, who both went 7/9, helps TC close the gap to just a single pick off the leader, as Joe climbs into 9th.
